About·FAQ

Quick answers to
common questions.

How long does a website take to build?

Most small-business websites take 4-8 weeks from kickoff to launch, depending on how quickly content and feedback come back. Rush jobs are possible with a surcharge but we generally don't recommend it - good websites benefit from a few iterations.

Do I own the website when it's built?

Yes, completely. You own the domain, the content, the design and the underlying code. If you ever decide to take it elsewhere, we'll hand it over cleanly with no exit fees.

Can I edit the website myself after launch?

Yes if you want to. Every site we build can include a CMS so you can update content yourself - we'll set it up and walk you through it with a short training session and a comprehensive set of full training videos showing you how to edit your site in every way, so you don't have to keep coming back to ask us how to change something small. For smaller sites that don't change much, we often skip the CMS and build them static instead - it's faster, more secure, and easier to maintain. When you need a tweak every couple of months, we just do it for you at no extra cost. We'll recommend the right approach for your site based on how often you actually expect to update it.

Where is my website hosted?

On Australian servers, in a Sydney or Melbourne data centre, with Australian-based support. Your customer data stays under Australian privacy law and your site loads fast for Australian visitors.

Do you do SEO?

Foundational on-page SEO is included in every site we build - title tags, meta descriptions, structured data, sitemap, schema markup, fast loading, semantic HTML. Ongoing SEO work is a separate paid service if you want active campaigns.

Will the site work on mobile?

Every site we build is mobile-first, tested on real devices, and works perfectly on phones, tablets and desktops. We won't ship a site that doesn't pass that bar.

Do you build WordPress websites?

Sometimes - for clients who genuinely need WordPress (large editorial teams, specific WP-only plugins, existing infrastructure). For most small businesses we build on a more modern stack that's faster, simpler, more secure and cheaper to maintain. Either way, we'll be honest about which is right for your situation.

How much does it cost?

Most small-business sites land between $1,000-$3,000. Larger custom builds from $5,000+. See our pricing page for indicative tiers, or get in touch for a quote on your specific project.

What if I don't have content yet?

No problem. We'll either help you write it as part of the project, or build the site with placeholder content and you can fill it in after launch. We won't hold up the project waiting for words.

Do you do graphic design and branding too?

Yes - logo design, brand identity, business cards, brochures, signage. Often we'll refresh a logo as part of a website project. More on graphic design.

How do you handle hosting and security?

Regular backups, automated security updates, malware scans, SSL certificates, and Australian data centre hosting - all included on our managed plans. We monitor uptime 24/7 and respond to issues no matter when something goes wrong.

What if I want to make changes after launch?

Email or call any time. Small tweaks (text changes, image swaps) are usually quick and either included on your plan or charged hourly. Bigger feature additions get quoted separately.
